Extrusion Operator Jobs

Job Title: Extrusion Operator / Machine Operator
Location: Franklin Park, IL
Job type: Permanent
Shift : Train during 1st shift 6am-2pm for 30-60 days, once training is complete employee will be assigned to either 2nd 2pm-10pm or 3rd shift 10pm-6am
Pay dependent on experience ranges from $20-24/hour
Shift differentials : 2nd shift $0.50/hour; 3rd shift $1/hour
Responsibilities

• Turn controls to adjust machine functions, such as regulating air pressure or die gaps
• Record and Maintain production data such as meter readings ad quantities, types and dimensions of materials produced
• Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, and amounts, dimensions and flow of materials or ingredients
• Set up and operate and extrusion machine and ensure proper dimensions are set up
• Ensure that quality expectations are met and notify lead technician, or supervisor, when extruded product fails to meet standards

Requirements

• 2 years of machine operator experience
• Sense of urgency and responsibility
• Steel toe shoes
• 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Experience in injection molding
• Ability to read, write, and perform math skills
• At least one year of experience as an extrusion operator in a plastic packaging environment (must have been the operator not helper or roll hanger)
• Lift 50lbs
• Understanding of manufacturing and quality control
