Job Description

  • Support the Renker Wellness Center teaching exercise classes in a group setting as well as 1:1 interviews with participants in the center, including Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
  • Observes participants during exercise for signs of stress and demonstrates correct use of equipment and exercise routines
  • Develop exercise programs for seniors with complex medical issues to support optimal wellbeing.

  • Required: Two (2) years of experience in fitness, personal training or clinical experience in an educational program
  • Collaborate in the educational classes related to wellness offered by the RWC
  • Licensure/Certification
  • Supervises
  • Tracks participation and adjusts fitness classes based on evaluation of group demographics including age, fitness levels and medical conditions
  • Performs fitness evaluations and creates exercise prescriptions in conjunction with clinical assessment evaluations
  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or other related healthcare field
