Position Summary:


Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified Executive Director of Campus Operations with a salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 per year. This is a leadership role responsible for the efficient and successful operations of North Seattle College's administrative and operational services, including budget development, financial services, enterprise risk management, campus safety and security, facilities, and capital projects. As a member of the College's executive leadership team, you will collaborate with stakeholders within the College community to develop policies and procedures that effectively meet the needs of the communities we serve.


The ideal candidate will provide vision and leadership in the areas of financial services, budget, and risk management. You will also serve as the primary liaison for members of the College community for fiscal and operational services provided at the District-level. This position operates under the general supervision of the President of North Seattle College and is responsible for the direct supervision of approximately three direct reports and two indirect reports.


This position typically works weekdays during business hours, primarily on-site at North Seattle College and at the District Office in Capitol Hill, with some aspects able to be performed remotely on a case-by-case basis.

What you will be working on:

  • Serve as an advisor to the President on administrative matters, including providing a disinterested perspective on non-administrative functions
  • Manage the development, review, and administration of leases, licenses and rental agreements in a manner that safeguards the resources of the College and ensures that funds are used appropriately, efficiently and legally.
  • As the College’s administrative services liaison to the District, inform College leadership of both strategic and emerging administrative issues so College leadership can provide appropriate direction.
  • In consultation with the College’s and District’s leadership teams, overseeing and managing the day-to-day administrative operations of North Seattle College, including direct supervision of employees responsible for the College’s cashiering functions, safety and security, and the interagency Opportunity Center.
  • Under the general direction of, and in collaboration with, the College’s and District’s leadership teams, oversee the implementation and management of short- and long-term financial plans for the College. Advise College and District leadership teams on the prioritization of funding requests such that funding decisions align with the College's mission and vision.
  • Serve as the College’s enterprise risk management officer, managing enterprise risk assessment and mitigation process to ensure that risks are consistently identified, evaluated, and resolved, mitigated, or accepted. Responsible for maintaining the College’s risk register.
  • Manage the College’s budget development process, recommend improvements to the process to College leadership, and work closely with College leadership to evaluate the financial resources needed to undertake and support current operations and new initiatives.
  • Consult with budget managers about deviations from budget and communicate budget issues to senior college leadership using information provided by District Finance.
  • Contribute to a transparent decision-making system that maintains and improves the quality of educational offerings and services. Assure that resource allocation is strategically guided and supports achievement of the College’s and District’s mission, vision, and strategic plans.

  • Evidence of problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible, successful, relevant administrative and/or managerial experience that demonstrates exceptional organizational, communication, interpersonal, budget management, negotiation, and personnel management skills.
  • Earned Bachelor’s Degree.
