Job Description
ESPN Communications is seeking an experienced and upbeat Executive Assistant professional that leads all aspects of daily office operations for ESPN’s Communications department in Bristol and supports the Senior Vice President and other executives in the group.


Responsibilities:
  • High school Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of related administrative experience in generally comparable functions
  • Demonstrates the following: time management, organizational skills, conflict management, eye for business, planning, priority setting, decision quality, excellent verbal and written communication, and computer proficiency
  • Coordinate office space for staff
  • Serve as a point of contact for all Communications department when ordering supplies, handling conference rooms and calendars
  • Has strong sports knowledge and familiarity of the ESPN brand
  • Has remarkable skills in communication and diplomacy
  • Has an outstanding ability to coordinate work and to set priorities with excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Interact with a wide variety of high level ESPN and external contacts (media, clients, affiliates, public figures) as well as coordinate and / or participate in meetings and interviews with these contacts
  • Conduct a wide range of assignments derived from the duties and responsibilities assigned, specific functions may include:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and databases used by the department
  • Act as point person for the organization and on-site running of ESPN’s “Newsmaker” speaker series
  • Has the ability to work effectively with a diverse group and individuals
  • Uses social media and other online tools to more effectively communicate with press & consumers
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and tact
  • Serve as the primary initial contact for those who are interested in getting in contact with ESPN Communications
  • Answer and screen incoming calls
  • Assist in all administrative functions, including maintaining calendar, scheduling appointments, booking travel, handling expenses, preparing presentations, coordinating events and meetings, and handling relationships with key people internally and externally, etc.
  • Has and applies sophisticated experience in the conduct of several administrative processes and procedures carried out in the organization and by the executive
  • Review and categorize incoming correspondence and prepare routine correspondence
  • Holds advanced research and data analysis skills
  • Coordinate, track and follow-up on key “to-do” items on behalf of the executive(s)
  • Capture and abstractive materials for such events as meetings and presentations
  • Handle all invoice processing and liaison with Finance on any identified issues
