Evs Associate, Equipment Operation

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The EVS Associate, Equipment Operation performs a variety of tasks to include floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, bonneting and extraction) as well as general cleaning tasks. This function requires the operation of floor machinery . Duties also include moving furniture, wall washing, perform meeting set-up, confidential material collection, and Regulated Medical Waste handling. Additionally, operating the SteraMist Binary Ionization Technology to treat assigned Hospital areas is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification is required

• One year commercial housekeeping experience to include floor care responsibility

• Basic computer literacy is required

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES:

• Floor care equipment knowledge.

• Knowledge of mopping, buffing, stripping, polishing, vinyl and tile floors, shampooing carpets.

• Ability to lift and move 50lbs.

• Ability to use cleaning equipment and compounds

• Understand Infection Control guidelines

• Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
