ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The Events Manager at Tahoe Beach Club ensures the highest level of service is offered to the
members of TBC by providing personal, gracious, and professional service while exceeding
expectations. As the Events Manager, you will be the lead in organizing, planning, and
executing of all Club member, guest, and private events. In addition to the Events Manager,
you will be responsible for all Staff and Member communications.
Event Manager Responsibilities:
- Works with Department Heads to determine their event needs and the creation of banquet event sheets
- Collaborate with the external marketing company in the creation of Clubhouse event postings on the member portal providing information such as defining event details, times, costs, and locations
- Lead weekly Events Meeting and create follow up actions to Management team to discuss, plan, and implement Clubhouse events and activities
- Attends Management meetings
- Responsible for the collection and submission of all Beach Buzz newsletter material to the clubs external marketing firm
- Set up and implement the Jonas Event module for billing and event sheet creation and organization
- Communicate daily with the Clubhouse Manager to ensure time management and implementation of Clubhouse events, internal communications, and Membership Services needs are met
- Provide information for flyers, signs, and promotional materials to the external marketing company for Clubhouse signage and communications. Responsible for updates and accuracy of the content
- Lead role in organizing, planning, creating Banquet Event Orders, follow up, and implementation of Clubhouse special events and provide support for specific department events
- Partners and fosters relationships with local event vendors, artists, performers to incorporate into upcoming Clubhouse events
Internal Club Communications Responsibilities:
- Update Employee Communication Board to ensure all information is fresh and accurate
- Manage implementation, training and oversee management of text messaging platform, Zingle
- Works in collaboration with Management and project management teams to assist in creating and distributing marking materials or provides edits for marketing materials related to Club newsletters, Member portal and website
- Provide Management team with weekly Zingle reporting analytics during Marketing Events Meeting
- Assist Department Heads in the creation of internal materials needed for meetings and presentations
- With the support and leadership of the GM and Clubhouse Manager, help create an Employee First organization by supporting your fellow Tahoe Beach Club team members
Employment Commitments:
- Attend all relevant operational meetings
- Adheres to all federal, state, and local laws regarding health, safety, and employment
- Holiday and weekends required based upon Clubhouse needs and activities
- Always promote TBC in a positive way as its ambassador on or off property
- Carries a positive and proactive attitude
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Experience:
- 2-3 years previous experience as an Events Manager, Communications at a private club,
or relevant corporate experience in related capacities
- College Degree preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Computer literate, possessing skills in all Microsoft Office applications, including high proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Canva, Email Marketing/Social Campaign platforms, Zoom Presentation knowledge
- Requires a high degree of professionalism, administration, organization, and flexibility, especially in terms of project and time management
- Excellent multitasking skills, with a talent for problem solving
- High work ethic, with sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work independently, as well as with a team
- Must be able to stay organized and work independently
- Excellent human relation skills, maintains a positive and proactive attitude and demeanor
- Requires excellent oral and written communications skills
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
Physical Job Requirements:
- This position requires an average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and standing. This position requires this type of activity throughout the shift
- This position requires office and computer time, and thus, there can be long periods at a desk
- Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time, year round, benefited
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
