Job Description

General Responsibilities:
Are you looking to join a mature environmental planning practice with the opportunity to assist in building our cultural resources team? We are looking for a Environmental Technician to work in our Salt Lake City, Utah office as part of our growing cultural resources practice in the Intermountain West. As part of our team, you will collaborate with our established PIs and network of archaeologists across the U.S. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Duties include but may not be limited to hiking, climbing, standing, bending, stooping, carrying loads up to 30 pounds, completing paperwork, filling electronic forms, mapping, orienteering, and photography. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Experience with Trimble data collection a plus, but not required.
Essential Roles And Responsibilities
  • Assist in artifact processing and data analysis
  • Travel as needed to support projects and company-related tasks
  • Perform archaeological monitoring, survey, testing, and data recovery fieldwork, including mapping and GPS data collection
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience.
Preferred Certification:
  • Other national, regional, state, and local environmental related certifications requiring experience and written examination will also be considered if deemed appropriate by the Terracon Department Manager.
  • Certification in field of expertise.
