Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in updates and revisions of facility environmental policies and procedures
  • Collect, transport, and deliver environmental lab samples
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with all environmental laws and regulations
  • Support and participate in environmental compliance and process audits
  • Research and maintain an understanding of stormwater inspections, hazardous waste, and general housekeeping best practices
  • Conduct training on topics pertaining to environmental compliance in: RCRA, OPDES, stormwater and industry best management practices in front of large crowds
  • Assist in managing the facility ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
  • Assist in completion of annual environmental compliance audit by corporate environmental manager
  • Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations for environmental meetings
  • Management of satellite areas and hazardous waste storage area
  • Company interface with regulatory agencies and agents
  • Assists in Storm Water compliance – maintenance of OKR05 permit
  • Federal Biennial Hazardous Waste reports (if required)
  • Waste disposal plan maintenance and notifications
  • Assists in all waste related reporting including:
    • State Hazardous Waste reports (if required)
    • Federal Biennial Hazardous Waste reports (if required)
    • Annual Tier II reports
    • Annual Toxic Release Inventory reports
    • Annual Air Emissions Report
    • Annual Stormwater ACSCER
  • Development and implementation of waste minimization technology
  • Annual Stormwater ACSCER
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with all Federal EPA and DOT hazardous waste /hazardous materials regulations and all State and local environmental regulations
  • Waste disposal approvals/recertifications
  • State Hazardous Waste reports (if required)
  • Annual Tier II reports
  • Annual Toxic Release Inventory reports
  • Waste stream determinations
  • Annual Air Emissions Report
  • Assists in the management of compliance with all Federal, State and local environmental air permits for two facilities


Webco has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.

Required Education and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 Management Systems a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field or is currently pursuing degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • Preferred Master’s degree in Environmental Management
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Must be a systematic, detail-oriented individual
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as in project team environment.
  • At least (2) years of experience in an environmental compliance role or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent.
  • Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and standards and applicability to operations.
  • Desire to look for improved ways of doing things.
  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment properly for routine tasks on an as needed basis, including fax machines, copy machines, email and central calendar systems.
  • Highly motivated, personable, flexible, and eager to enhance knowledge and skills through on-going education and development.
  • Must have proficient skills in the use of personal computers including Windows Office applications.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires full range of body motion to include: lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stooping, and squatting.
  • Regularly uses a telephone for communication.
  • Job is fast paced and the ability to deal with stress is essential.
  • Requires prolonged periods of monitoring computer screens and displays
  • Uses office equipment such as copier, and fax machines.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day on a regular basis.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Utilizes a variety of hand positions to repetitively manipulate keyboard and mouse. Position requires, prolonged periods of standing and walking distances of up to 2 miles in a manufacturing facility.
  • Position requires frequent walking and/or standing on concrete floor while wearing steel-toed shoes. May walk up to two (2) miles per shift while performing essential duties.
