Environmental Specialist

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Specialist to meet client needs in the Appalachian Mountain region. This position will report to Cincinnati, OH office location with the opportunity to work remotely. The successful candidate will initially focus on the needs of our energy clients in the area. You will be part of our Site Assessment and Corrective Action team, helping our clients evaluate and manage environmental impacts. You will manage project tasks, with the goal of quickly managing projects for our clients.

You will be part of a team that helps our clients achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations. This position requires outdoor work and overnight travel within the Appalachian and Midwest regions which could be more than 20%.

Required Education and Experience

  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Experience with contaminant investigation and remediation projects
  • Experience with environmental due diligence, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs
  • Ten+ years of experience in environmental consulting and environmental compliance
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting environmental analytical data and preparing reports
  • Experience with waste profiling, waste management, and environmental remediation projects.

Desired Experience

  • Experience in additional technical areas, including environmental compliance, threatened and endangered species, aquatic resource delineations, and other area is a plus
  • Successful experience building and leading teams to serve client needs
  • Experience managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Current OSHA 10-hour and/or HAZWOPER 40-hour Certification, or able to obtain certification.
  • Demonstrated successful business development experience
