Entry-Level Lab Technician (7:30Am To 4Pm Monday- Friday)

This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Endocrine Laboratory Technician in our busy Rockville, MD Endocrine Laboratory. The schedule is working Monday - Friday from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm.

How You'll Contribute

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Endocrine Lab Technician is responsible for:

• Performs all clerical tasks associated with recording laboratory results in designated areas and filing.
• Performs quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions.
• Take appropriate safety precautions for handling specimen and contaminated areas.
• Reliability: It is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours, ready for work.
• Monitors supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary.
• Provide a turnaround time to the physicians approximate two hour request from the time specimens are received.
• Checks and records daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents.

What You'll Bring

The skills and education we need are:

• Ability to troubleshoot assays and equipment
• MLT ASCP certification or equivalent
• Bachelors' degree in biology science or related field
• Experience in a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred
• Minimum of one year laboratory experience
