Job Description
  • Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for an Enterprise Monitoring Tools Analyst for the application monitoring team. This position can be an opportunity to learn Enterprise Systems Monitoring tools and grow into a senior position.
  • The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e., collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
  • SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
  • Must be able to pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
  • Complete service requests tickets by updating scripts, monitors, and alerting policies as needed. Modify and add new users upon request.
  • SolarWinds
  • Provides periodic reports to users and managers of monitoring status. Provides action plan for resolution of any/all faults detected. Develops and implements operational management process and procedures. Develop growth plans to ensure that the hosting environment can support the projected growth.
  • Create and submit change requests when performing any changes/updates to software on servers.
  • Must possess solid working knowledge on Windows and Unix Operating systems.
  • Have some experience with any monitoring tool, which can include any of the following AppDynamics, SolarWinds, Neustar, Zabbix.
  • Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to
  • Troubleshoot network related events including firewalls blocking ports, etc. by submitting requests to open firewalls.
  • Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years and not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.
  • Should have thorough understanding of SNMP & networking.

  • Complete service requests tickets by updating recordings, transactions, and custom properties as needed.
  • Experience using any (application/hardware/OS/network/portal) monitoring tools and responding to system alerts.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • This position will assist with the development and engineering monitoring tools within the USPS enterprise.
  • Monitor the system, troubleshoot, deployment, and end-to-end support in an enterprise environment.
  • AppDynamics
  • Monitor the system, troubleshoot, deployment, and end-to-end support in an enterprise environment.
  • Implement polices to monitor business transactions within applications. Implement Service Endpoints for applications. Creating of custom dashboards within AppDynamics.
  • 5+ years of experience within information technology or related field.
  • Daily monitoring of all active monitors – Check overall performance and troubleshoot any monitors that are in “warning” or “failed” status.
  • Monitor the system, troubleshoot, deployment, and end-to-end support in an enterprise environment.
  • The selected individual will be expected to work independently with a minimum of guidance or direction.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Residence status (Green Card).

  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Develop and implement procedures that support proactive problem detection and avoidance, including disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Expected to work independently with a minimum of guidance or direction.
  • Experience architecting and engineering software for use within a large organization and enterprise, including automation management.
  • Daily monitoring of all active transactions – Check overall performance and troubleshoot any transactions that are in “warning” or “failed” status.
