Are you looking for the opportunity to teach in a unique and pioneering state school in Amsterdam, with an international community of staff and pupils? De Nieuwe Internationale School Esprit (DENISE) offers bilingual Dutch-English education to children aged 4 to 18 years old, using IPC, IMYC, MAVO, HAVO and IB diploma curricula.
The secondary school English Department is looking to expand, with an opening for an additional English Language Arts and/or Theory of Knowledge teacher. Start August 1. Earlier is also possible. The successful candidate will most likely fulfill the following requirements:

• Flexible in using Google Classroom and other digital teaching resources.
• Possesses a recognised Master (or Bachelor) English Teacher qualification.
• Organises lessons and classroom management informed by proven pedagogical and didactic principles.
• Proficient in Dutch language, or willing to learn.
• Enjoys collaborating with peers to develop materials and implement quality lessons.
• Creative in motivating pupils and using inquiry-based teaching approaches to learning.
• Experienced in teaching English and/or Theory of Knowledge in upper secondary.

The vacancy concerns an LB function (Dutch CAO-VO), LC is negotiable based on experience for 0,8 – 1,0 fte (4 or 5 days).
