Job Description
Summary You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Aerospace) in the Fleet Support Team Engineering Group of FLTREADCEN EAST providing on-site technical support for CV-22 aircraft. Responsibilities You will perform maintenance and in-service engineering tasks on a variety of V-22 aircraft structures and systems. You will provide on-site aviation in-service engineering services in support of troubleshooting, rework, repair, maintenance, inspection and modification/redesign of V-22 aircraft structures, systems, and components. -You will review fleet requests for investigations. You will investigate and resolve complex technical problems related to the rework/repair of aircraft discrepancies/malfunctions. You will provide technical decisions, engineering advice, and dispositions to local on-site squadrons, military chain-of-command, FST POCs, and higher leadership, as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12 LEVEL: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing aviation in-service technical guidance for engineering projects, products, and services; 2) Leading others to complete aviation in-service technical projects, products, and services; 3) Knowledge of operation and maintenance for aviation components and systems; and 4) Communicating technical maintenance methods to aircraft maintenance personnel. GS-11 LEVEL: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing aviation in-service technical guidance for engineering projects, products, and services; 2) Working with a team to complete aviation maintenance, repair, rework for in-service technical projects, products, and services; 3) Knowledge of operation and maintenance for aviation components and systems; and 4) Communicating technical maintenance methods to aircraft maintenance personnel.
