The Engineering Program Manager will plan, execute and deliver Engineering and Operations programs, adhering to best practices, while maintaining schedules, budget, scope and quality. In order to achieve this, you will work in a matrix environment, with multiple interfaces including global engineering teams, UX, product managers and the PMO. This position you will lead the development and deployment of SaaS identity management products and will report to the Director of Engineering Operations. Ideally this position will be located in Denver, Colorado but Austin, Texas or Vancouver, British Columbia are possibilities.
You will:
  • Identify and coordinate dependencies with teams across multiple business units at various levels within the company
  • Lead with confidence and clarity, even when the outcome is uncertain.
  • Adhere to existing EPMO processes, standards and best practices; create new processes and standards in order to create consistency across engineering teams
  • Manage cross team strategic initiatives and lead engineering projects to deliver new capabilities for Ping Products and Infrastructure through the entire software development life-cycle, from ideation, through implementation to post-production support.
  • Build positive relationships with engineering and product management leaders, engineering managers, and individual contributors.
  • Coordinate the planning and prioritization of new features and technical product improvements across the engineering and product management teams
  • Identify when strategic and tactical decisions are required and facilitate information gathering, discussion, and decision-making to keep programs and projects on-track.
  • Effectively report project status and health to team members and management with the appropriate level of detail and strategic importance, including data driven reporting where feasible
  • Drive day-to-day execution of programs & projects to ensure that work is designed and delivered on time and with the highest quality.
  • Identify issues and risks, craft mitigation plans, create visibility to appropriate decision-makers, and monitor mitigation status to closure.
You have:
  • The ability to balance short-term (tactical) and long term (strategic) plans
  • A collaborative style that allows you to effectively influence teams and encourage change
  • Knowledge of Agile, Lean, and/or Scrum principles, methodologies, practices, and how to effectively implement them in a software development organization
  • 10+ years of project management, program management and technical leadership experience in software, SaaS and/or related industries.
  • BA/BS in a technical degree, Computer Science preferred or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate status and issues for complex programs and with different stakeholders
  • Ability to excel in a diverse environment and value different opinions
  • Experience in managing multiple complex projects across technical teams with many interdependencies.
You have an advantage if:
  • Basic understanding of SDLC, DevOps, CI/CI and Cloud Technologies
  • Background in IAM and cybersecurity domain
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheets/MS Project and creating JIRA reporting

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in several states is listed below. Final compensation for this role will be determined by job related factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Colorado Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 Salary
