Join Ecolab’s manufacturing operation in McDonough, GA as our Engineering and Maintenance Manager. In this critical chemical manufacturing plant, you will act as a self-driven manager for a team of maintenance techs and engineers in a 24/5 blend operation that provides sanitization products to businesses in the southeastern marketplace.


Ecolab chose to execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to transform the culture and its Supply Chain results. As our Engineering and Maintenance Manager you will oversee the creation of a world-class PM pillar. The key focus of this role will be to put in place industry-leading planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities and procedures and to develop the overall technical capabilities of the maintenance organization to achieve benchmark results in unplanned downtime, breakdowns, and equipment reliability. The person filling this role will be a key member of the plant leadership team and will play a significant part in creating and bringing to life the plant vision.

What You Will Do


  • Leverage significant interaction and influence with plant leadership to make key technology and maintenance reliability related strategic business decisions for manufacturing & distribution operations.
  • Drive a maintenance transformation; work with maintenance and operations to decrease equipment downtime while moving from a reactive to proactive equipment maintenance model. This will be done by implementing TPM activities throughout the Maintenance Reliability department.
  • Serve as a member of Ecolab’s North America Engineering and Reliability Domain Teams, which coordinate activities in a consistent manner between all plants to achieve improved equipment reliability, manufacturing productivity, and optimized overall asset life cycle costs.


Minimum Qualifications


  • 3 years Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 8 years manufacturing engineering experience
  • Previous leadership experience
  • 3 years experience improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • MBA or advanced technical degree a plus
  • 3 years’ experience working in manufacturing maintenance with lean manufacturing
  • 3 years’ experience working with CMMS, SAP or other ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tool
  • 3 years’ experience supervising maintenance employees in a manufacturing plant
  • Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification
  • 3 years’ experience designing or maintaining building, process, and packaging equipment, using Root Cause Analysis, and managing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
