Engineer Associate - Reliability Engineering

• This role is a remote role; however, you must be located within a commutable distance of our corporate office in Richfield, MN.

As an Engineer Associate with Best Buy, you will be designing, developing, maintaining, tuning, and supporting availability and performance monitoring solutions across bestbuy.com, retail, and supply chain. Looking for an engineer that is passionate to write code and solve problems in cloud environments. (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.)

What You’ll Do

• Extend and develop through automation custom monitoring scripts and integrations.
• Partnering with development and operation teams to implement end-to-end availability and performance monitoring solutions including telemetry capture, automated problem identification, and proactive notifications.
• Customize, enhance, and support internally developed self-service monitoring tools.

Basic qualifications

• Ability to write code and solve problems in cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.) environments.
• Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or Coding Bootcamp/Code School

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using scripting languages (i.e., JavaScripting, Python, Perl, PowerShell, Ruby)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or another related technical, highly quantitative discipline.
