Job Description

Summary

The Employment Specialist will assist the Recruitment Coordinator by providing daily administrative support regarding staff employment. This position prescreens applications and communicates with hiring managers regarding the interview process. This position handles communications with new hires regarding pre- and post-hiring onboarding requirements and paperwork. The Employment Specialist files and tracks all new hire paperwork and onboards employees.


Specific Job Functions

  • Reviews incoming resumes/applications and forwards those that meet the minimum requirements to the hiring manager.
  • Completes and oversees completion of all I-9 and E-Verify requirements timely and accurately.
  • All other assignments provided by management.
  • Partners with Total Rewards Manager and business units to review and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Schedules bi-weekly new hire orientations and contacts hew hires to ensure they attend.
  • Ensures all pre- and post-hiring onboarding requirements and paperwork has been properly submitted and obtained.
  • Provides backup data support for compensation offers and analysis.
  • Completes background check process with vendor.
  • Assist at Recruiting events as needed.
  • Prepares all forms of correspondence for both internal and external employees (i.e., change memos, offer letters).
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or Talent Acquisition team during the offer process.


Minimum Job Requirements

  • Human Resources experience is preferred.
  • Four years of experience can be used in lieu of degree.
  • Six (6) months of professional business experience is required.
  • Effective team player; understands hand-on approach to providing HR support.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Must be able to multi-task and handle changing priorities.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is required.
