Eligibility Specialist (Two Open Positions)

Under direct supervision of the Financial Assistance Supervisor, the Eligibility Specialist supports the Human Services mission of effectively and efficiently delivering essential services to families and individuals so they can achieve their potential through active community participation. The position administers financial programs to support the basic needs of the elderly, disabled, and low-income families and individuals. The Eligibility Specialist determines eligibility for public assistance programs through interviewing and evaluating clients needs for internal and external services. This position is also responsible for developing and coordinating employment services activities, addressing and analyzing allegations of fraud, coordinating administrative appeal of agency actions, establishing and maintaining working relationships with other agencies and participating in continuing education.
