J.W. Pepper is looking for an experienced classroom educator to evaluate and curate products for our elementary and secondary general music and community and collegiate choral catalogs. The Elementary & Secondary General Music Editor is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of school marketing efforts for J.W. Pepper from our corporate office in Exton, PA.
Responsibilities
  • Ability to recognize and understand market trends in community/collegiate choral and general music.
  • Excellent understanding of choral and general music.
  • Select materials for Pepper sponsored events and reading sessions.
  • Teaching experience in classroom music at either elementary or secondary levels as well as choral music education and direction.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Oversee the process of incorporating and ingesting digital materials into the products offered by Pepper.
  • Ability to work alone and with members of a team and communicate effectively within an organization.
  • Product selection, product entry, copy writing, building of genre categories, proofing of design and content.

  • Develop themes and suggested resources for online, email and print ads.
  • Chief editor for the creation of print and online catalogs for General Music teachers and Community and Collegiate choral ensembles to include:
  • Review, select, solicit, and promote materials for the Elementary and Secondary general music/Community and Collegiate markets.
  • Strong background with computers and computer systems.
  • Be a resource to customers, regional sales centers, and customer sales representatives.
  • Reach out to potential vendors in the digital realm for resources and products in general music.

  • Ability to evaluate and analyze music and music resources.
  • Ability to maintain a professional line of communication with outside companies, composers, and arrangers.
