Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Servtech Inc., a Roeslein company, is a manufacturer of industrial prefabricated Edge Data Centers, Power Distribution Centers, E Houses, Pumping stations, metering stations, custom variable speed drive panels, PLC Panels, Motor Control Centers, and other custom engineered products. Components are designed to client’s specific needs and integrated into turnkey systems that are tested at the manufacturing facility.

Our markets include Bio-Gas, Alternative Energy, Mission Critical (Data Centers), Mining, Pollution Control, Oil and Gas, and other industrial applications.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electrical Power Engineer will lead in the design, engineering, procurement, and product life cycle management of large-scale custom manufactured industrial equipment. The Electrical Power Engineer will focus on 3 Phase Power Distribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conductor and raceway sizing
  • Panel Layouts
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Panel schedules
  • Creation of BOMs
  • Using AutoCAD (Electrical AutoCAD preferred) to review and create:
  • Cable/conduit schedules
  • Power one-line diagrams
  • Designing 3 phase power systems
  • Other electrical equipment
  • Work with 480 VAC to 4,160 VAC 3-phase systems and equipment
  • Reviewing client specifications to ensure appropriate equipment is selected for the application
  • Performing fault current studies and ensuring fault currents are probably coordinated
  • Lighting panels
  • Knowledge and experience with the National Electric Code for sizing and implementation of conductors, raceways, equipment clearances, and other code requirements.
  • Panelboards
  • Transformers
  • Motor control centers
  • Switchgear
  • Sizing and selection of power distribution equipment including;
  • Reviewing and vetting vendor proposals to ensure quoted equipment meets the project requirements

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support other engineers to meet project goals and deadlines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in electrical engineering is required
  • Experience developing drawings for fabrication of wireway systems is preferred
  • Experience using ETAP electrical design and study software is preferred
  • Excellent Communication skills; both oral and written is required
  • A candidate that is a registered Professional Engineering and has their license in Colorado is highly desired.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience is preferred
  • AutoCAD drafting experience beyond a basic level is preferred
  • Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Based programs required
