Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a team of dedicated Industrial Electricians and guide Electrical Maintenance efforts at Plant 8S.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities, schedules, and records.
  • Work with the Maintenance Planner to ensure the Maintenance Department is following the TPM process.
  • Participate in the development and achievement of the department’s annual goals and training plan.
  • Purchase parts as required for specific Work Orders, PM’s, and Critical Spares through our internal purchase order system.
  • Ensure safety and departmental policies and procedures are followed. Aid in improvements in the areas of safety via audits, identification of unsafe conditions, and procedural changes.
  • Manage electrical work orders to ensure scope of work is understood, estimated hours are assigned and accurate, appropriate resources are assigned, and work orders are appropriately scheduled.
  • Support the completion of electrical/controls portions of equipment modifications, expense projects, and capital improvement projects.
  • Lead in troubleshooting plant electrical equipment and instrument repairs. Maintains instrumentation calibrations.
  • Supervises hourly Electrical Maintenance team. Support reward and recognition program based on criteria related to safety, quality and productivity.
  • Investigate and provide specialized equipment to improve safety, quality, and reliability. Serve on 6 Sigma, quality, safety, and Maintenance teams as required.
  • Assist in training efforts of area personnel through procedure writing/modifications, conducting sessions, bringing in outside resources, purchasing training materials and equipment, etc.
  • Initiate outside service purchase requisitions and coordinate execution with contractors for such items as component repairs, on-site maintenance, equipment cleaning, etc.
  • Recommend and document discipline for hourly employees and develop behavior and performance improvement plans as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years Industrial Maintenance experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Moderate computer skills
Preferred:
  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley RS-View-based HMI systems & Siemens HMI systems.
  • Proficiency with Siemens & Allen-Bradley PLC systems: PLC5-series and Control Logix 5000-series platforms.
  • Electrical associate’s degree
  • One year or more experience in a leadership role.
  • Two years experience as a master technician or electrical supervisor
