Job Description
Electrical Foreman
Reports to: Assistant Construction Manager
Summary:
The Electrical Foreman performs a variety of tasks and assists other craft workers in the construction,
maintenance and repair activities on solar PV systems. This position is the lead administrator on NES CSG
construction sites and fills the leadership position for all crew members during the entire workday. The
foreman may delegate some duties to other competent individuals but is ultimately responsible for the following functions:
Essential Functions:
1. Understand that safety is your responsibility and first priority.
2. Lead morning stretch and flex / safety meeting. During this time discuss site hazards and daily safety
topics.
3. Manage and maintain crew level production and productivity standards.
4. Supervise, schedule, coordinate all personnel installing solar PV systems.
5. Provide daily reports to Construction Managers on progress and goals using appropriate forms and
communication pathways.
6. Alert CSG managers and Human Resources of any potential personnel conflicts on site.
7. Plan the workflow of crews on site which can include scheduling with sub-contractors who may also be working on site.
8. Accurately manage and input employee timecards.
9. Provide daily reports to the Foreman on progress and goals using appropriate forms and
communication pathways.
10. Administers the inventory, proper use, and maintenance of company issued tools.
11. Administers the receiving of material shipments to include safe unloading, checking material to Bill of
Lading or Invoice, and maintaining paperwork in office.
12. Follow NES and OSHA safety regulations and provided safety training.
13. Provide on-the-job training to apprentice electricians.
14. Ensure quality of workmanship meets or exceeds minimum industry standards.
15. Arrive punctually to work and diligently perform the duties and tasks assigned.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be either on site or having a designated
crew member in their place until they return. It is expected the foreman for each site to be available to crew
members as much as possible except for material runs, meeting attendance, or other events that pull them
from the site. This position is performed in outside weather conditions all 12 months of the year.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The position lifts heavy objects, 50lbs or less, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs
strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects;
uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps,
sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and
multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must
have excellent stamina.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and may require longer hours and frequent weekend work.
Required Education and Experience:
• Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician
• High school diploma
• OSHA 30 certification
• Minimum 4 years of experience managing an electrical install crew for solar PV installation
• Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Demonstrated critical thinking, organization and planning, prioritization, and follow up skills
• Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft O365
• Proficiency Procore or similar construction management software
Preferred Education and Experience:
• NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification
• Fall protection training
• Forklift operator experience
• First aid certified
