Responsibilities:
  • Involvement in preparing documentation for design input for drawing production.
  • Assist in preparing detailed calculations, including three phase power transient studies, voltage drop, and protective relay settings.
  • Interface with vendors to prepare materials and equipment purchase specifications for client recommendations.
  • Assist the project lead in efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
  • Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats.
  • You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.
  • Support the project lead in coordinating systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing oil and gas facility electrical systems. This position will also offer the opportunity to support the design of power plants and other industrial facilities.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a graduation date of Spring 2023 from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program.
  • Knowledge in Oil and Gas or industrial plant design, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new facilities, or modifications or replacements for existing facilities.
  • Knowledge with electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors), communication systems, equipment selection, and analytical calculations.
  • EIT, preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • Experience in reviewing other engineers design calculations and drawings.
  • Construction and start-up experience a plus.
  • Technically knowledgeable of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems to execute systems design.
  • Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
  • Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, control philosophy, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications.
Salary Range

$69,000 - $78,000
