FLSA: Non Exempt
Hours: 40 hours, with overtime
Work Week: Monday through Saturday, schedule will adjust based on work
Reports To: Electrical Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
Electrical Apprentices work under the guidance of licensed E1 or E2 Electricians. This position
is that of an assistant, only working alongside a licensed electrician. All Electrical Apprentices
must be enrolled in the State of CT Apprenticeship program and meet all guidelines.
JOB EXPECTATIONS:
Electrical Apprentices are required to adhere to all safe practices mandated by the state, federal
government, OSHA standards and Elite/BantamWesson policies. Depending on the current
project, Electrical Apprentices may need to be flexible with regards to shift, overtime or
weekend hours.

Electrical Apprentices are required to have the following the minimum tools: electrical hand
tools, meter, and battery drill. Electricians will be working on site both residentially and
commercially. For those reasons, it is expected to maintain a clean work area at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in the installation of wiring

• Assist in the troubleshooting of all electrical problems within residence or commercial

buildings

• Assist with repair and replacement of all faulty equipment

• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools

• Must observe safe standards as applicable to OSHA, state and federal regulations

• Maintain safe standards of tools and cords

• Vehicle maintenance: cleanliness, routine maintenance

• Must exercise customer service skills with customers and contractors, consisting of

explaining work performed, speak knowledgeably of how to resolve issues and exercise

patience with the public

• Other duties as requested

WORKING CONDITIONS

Electrical Apprentices face exposure to electrical shock, burns and falls. Therefore it is strictly

enforced the use of protective clothing and safety classes. There is a physical component in
which electricians may be lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects.
