Job Description
EKG Technician, UHS Wilson Medical Center

United Health Services is seeking a EKG Technician to join our WMC Cardiology department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Shift:
Day

Hours per week:
40

Salary range:
$18.56 - $26.92 per hour, depending on experience.

EKG Technician / Overview

To ensure that Cardiology Services rendered (the evaluation and treatment of patients) are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Those served include inpatients and outpatients, United Health Services staff, and employees, as well as affiliated United Health Services. community groups as needed. Priority is given to services which directly affect patients and supervised staff.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
  • Previous Cardiopulmonary experience including medical terminology.

License/Certification
Minimum Required:
  • CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.

Work Environment
  • Work is also performed on patient care units at bedside. Ability to push equipment. Uses spray and liquid cleansers for cleaning electrodes and equipment. Work is also performed in an office environment which requires working in close proximity to other employees. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
