Your Role:

Provide offsite and onsite safety and industrial hygiene support on assigned projects, which principally involve environmental investigation and remediation projects, as well as support of projects for commercial clients. This support will include the following (other duties may also be assigned)
  • Lead/assist in incident investigations
  • Provide technical expertise and support to H&S topics including:
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of H&S programs policies, procedures, and action plans, including employee training.
  • Ability to select and use air monitoring/sampling devices.
  • Possess and maintain expertise with health, safety and environmental regulations and standards, with an emphasis on federal OSHA regulations.
  • Strong technical writing and oral presentation/communication skills
  • Lead/perform H&S audits and assessments (internally and for clients)
  • Provide technical expertise in the selection of hazard controls including engineering, administrative controls and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Prepare Health and Safety Plan documents for assigned projects.
o Occupational exposure assessments, including air sampling and monitoring, noise, ergonomics, radiation, and others.
o Prepare task-specific hazard assessments and PPE assessments.
o Hazard Communication.
o Conduct indoor air quality evaluations.
o Develop and present H&S trainings.

Qualifications:

  • Past consulting experience preferred, but not required.
  • Completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER training (with appropriate annual 8-hour refresher courses) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university in safety, industrial hygiene, chemistry, toxicology, or related science.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional safety and/or industrial hygiene experience is required.
