What this job involves - This EHS Manager position is responsible for ensuring that the work conducted by the Facility Maintenance team and its subcontractors perform the work in full accordance and compliance with JLL, client policies and procedures, and FDA cGMP regulations at three pharmaceutical facilities. As a member of the IFM team, the EHS Manager will be responsible for deploying and supporting the JLL IFM environmental, health and safety and risk management strategy. The EHS Manager for this role should have a solid understanding of cGMP’s as they relate to the performance of HSE compliance, as well, maintenance and repairs activities utilized for the manufacturing and R&D of drug products and control of workplace environment.
What is the day to day?
Customer Relationships (Client)
Ensure client satisfaction with delivery of facility management services and provide a lead role in monitoring and increasing regulatory and statutory compliance.
Develop excellent partnership with client through trust, actions and results
Comply with all GMP and Non-GMP requirements of the Client contract and meet or exceed key performance indicators.
Deliver an exceptional quality of service to the client, as reflected by client feedback.
Leadership Management (People)
Foster a proactive environment of teamwork, co-operation, performance excellence and personal success.
Be an ambassador for JLL Cardinal Rules of Safety by demonstrating zero-tolerance of any willful disregard of these critical rules by our employees or subcontractors.
Act as role model for JLL by behaving consistently with cultural and ethical requirements and participating in company activities.
Support individual performance management program, and responsible for personal development planning process.
Promote safety culture within portfolio including client, subcontractors, suppliers and visitors.
Service Delivery (Growth)
Primary responsibility is to lead environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs requirements in a GxP environment by ensuring all facilities services and documentation in full accordance and compliance with JLL, client policies and regulations.
Drive JLL Cardinal Rules of Safety mindset to all JLL employees and subcontractors, including to maintain a safe work environment, act on the duty to speak up when you see something unsafe, understand the hazard of each job, and among others.
Be subject matter expert to assist with any technical issues arising from an incident, near miss, good catch, investigation or other circumstances which require a EHS support.
Drive implementation of EHS initiatives and programs regarding high risk activities such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arch flash & other electrical safety programs, working at heights, confined spaces, safe driving, machine guarding and work requiring an EHS permit.
Accountable for compliance of JLL EHS training compliance verification, facility self-assessment, hazard (Risk) assessments, documentation control, technical evaluations, personnel qualification files, vendor/suppliers audits and site client programs.
Accountable to applying risk management principles to identify, control and reduce EHS risks, as well, client and statutory requirements relating to the management of our operations and the services we deliver.
Collaborate with site JLL facilities site management including maintenance operations, construction & project management teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures or equivalent required to meet all EHS compliance for the site.
Assess and identify appropriate resources and equipment necessary to fully support EH&S objectives.
Reads and understands the applicable Service Level Agreements, helps achieve the Key Performance Indicators and scores favorably on the client satisfaction surveys.
Responsible to prepare and revise SOP’s, change control documentation, investigations, discrepancies, and training materials used by the facilities maintenance team in the performance of their work and also is accountable to keep updated applicable EHS management system or software (Ex. AIMS) in place.
Interface with the client’s SME’s to ensure that applicable client SOP’s are followed, and that the work performed by the team is documented and recorded for accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations, international standards, and internal procedures.
Required
5+ years of experience in the implementation and management of EHS programs and management systems, preferably within facility operations.
Success working with subcontractors/vendors supporting mutual safety objectives.
Proven track record of success executing EHS high hazard prevention programs; specifically, in permits at work, LOTO, electrical safety, confined space entry and working at heights.
Preferred
BA/BS in engineering is preferred, or a degree in occupational safety, safety management or relevant field.
ASP/CSP certification
Proven track record managing regulatory compliance in a GMP environment.
Salary Range: $80-95k
