About The Team
This role is based in our Chicago or New York office, dependent on applicant’s location.
As an Education Specialist you will help our customers grow by creating and delivering excellent investing and trading education. You'll help create and implement our education strategy which includes hosting live events (virtual and in-person) and creating content (written, video, and more). You'll serve as a subject matter expert on equities, ETFs, options, futures, and collaborate closely with product, customer service, brokerage, and risk teams. You'll provide strategic and tactical market analysis to the firm’s individual retail clients while also serving as a public voice on markets and trading strategies. Extensive contact with internal teams, external customers, and senior level management is required.
What You’ll Do Day-to-day
  • Develop and implement our public facing, customer education including live education sessions, video, and written content.
  • Work closely with the brokerage team to help identify risk, and act as a point of contact on education content for escalated situations.
  • Prepare and deliver both verbal and written, strategic, and tactical views of current economic and market conditions and consult on market commentary to be presented for publication.
  • Work with the Market Operations and Customer Experience teams to help develop and implement ongoing strategies to support the development of internal CX agents.
  • Lead with data - work with data and product teams to track success metrics of the program and adapt as necessary.
  • Be a go-to subject matter expert for the product teams as we continue to build out new trading and investing tools.
  • Support the Education Director and content teams to develop proprietary investing and trading education strategy for Robinhood customers.
  • Lead and instruct live education classes (virtual and in-person) with Robinhood customers focused on investing and trading equities, ETFs, options, and futures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
About You
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to speak clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent understanding of equity and ETF investing, portfolio and risk management, and trading strategies including derivatives—options and futures. Money management and crypto knowledge is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience educating and training, both customer base and internal teams
  • SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in finance, economics, or business-related fields.
  • Experience with live instruction, recorded video, and written content required. Social media experience preferred.
  • Ability to incite enthusiasm and influence, motivate and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes.
  • 8+ years of brokerage, investing, trading, or markets experience (Professional trading experience preferred).
  • Outstanding written communication skills.
  • Ability to train, coach, mentor, and lead the work of others.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 3, 4 required, as well as the ability to obtain other appropriate series license(s) for assigned functional areas as needed.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.
