Job Description
Overview:

SPATHE is looking for four full-time qualified Education Outreach Coordinators to support the 75th Ranger Regiment Talent Management Cell as professional Education Outreach Coordinators at three specific locations responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a Battalion-level civilian education outreach program.


Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. Responsibilities:
  • Develop academic assessment templates to develop courses of academic action for students pursuing on and off-duty education leading to postsecondary and graduate degrees.
  • Assess and recommend resources required to support students to maintain satisfactory progress towards achievement of successful educational outcomes.
  • Assist with efforts to gain or maintain DoD and service programs designed to provide off-duty education financial resources for SOF personnel.
  • Complete the required Daily Reporting Requirement memorandum and submit it at the completion of each day of the travel event and an Initial Entry Reporting Requirement memorandum within 24 hours upon arrival to the travel location when supporting Mobile Education Teams (METs) CONUS events.
  • Knowledgeable of Army IgnitED, Joint Special Operations University, Army Continuing Education Services, Tuition Assistance, Post 9/11 GI Bill, and other DoD educational resources.
  • Identify colleges and universities with degrees and/or certificate programs and coordinate the development of articulation agreements with those institutions that maximize transfer credits for Regiment and traditional military courses/training.
  • Provide support to the educational needs of soldiers and identify gaps or challenges in the academic process, and research/recommend alternatives.
  • Identify gaps or challenges for SOF personnel seeking on and off-duty education and research/recommends alternatives or mitigating courses of action.
  • Provide academic assessment subject matter expertise to members of the 75th Ranger Regiment seeking post-secondary and graduate degrees, certifications, or licensure from accredited colleges, universities, or institutions.
  • Assist with efforts to pursue expanded authorities to fund postsecondary education for SOF personnel.
  • Monitor the progress of students pursuing on and off-duty education leading to postsecondary and graduate degrees.
  • Coordinate efforts with SOF and conventional component educational advisors.
Qualifications:
  • SECRET clearance required.
  • BA/BS in Counseling specializing in Career/Education/Academic or related field with 5 years of experience advising students at the collegiate level OR a MA/MS with 2 years of experience advising students at the collegiate level.

Work Location:
  • Telework may be approved by the COR or Contracting Officer on an ad hoc, situational, or scheduled basis for administrative tasks which can be performed at an alternate work site provided by the employee.
  • Ft. Benning, GA (Onsite)- 2 Full-time employees (FTE).
  • Hunter Army Air Field; Savanah, GA- 1 FTE.
  • Joint Base Lewis-McChord; Tacoma, WA- 1 FTE.
Schedule:
  • Core hours are 0800-1600 Mon-Fri; adjust hours as needed to complete a 40-hour work week.
Travel:
  • Travel is required to various Continental United States (CONUS) locations. The employee may travel as initiated by a written tasking. Travel expenses are incurred in accordance with the limitations set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 31.205-46.
