Come join our team as an Education Manager supporting Educational Opportunities for Children and Families (EOCF) realize a common vision by planning, evaluating, monitoring, coordinating, and supervising the delivery of comprehensive ECE services and programs. This full time, salary exempt, benefited position has an hourly rate of $33.25

(b) Early Head Start or Head Start director. A program must: 


Ensure an Early Head Start or Head Start director hired after November 7, 2016, has at a minimum, a baccalaureate degree and experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management, and administration. 


(d) Child and family services management staff qualification requirements. (1) Family, health, and disabilities management. A program must ensure staff responsible for management and oversight of family services, health services, and services to children with disabilities hired after November 7, 2016, have, at a minimum, a baccalaureate degree, preferably related to one or more of the disciplines they oversee.


  •  Education management. As prescribed in section 648A(a)(2)(B)(i) of the Act, a program must ensure staff and consultants that serve as education managers or coordinators, including those that serve as curriculum specialists, have a baccalaureate or advanced degree in early childhood education or a baccalaureate or advanced degree and equivalent coursework in early childhood education with early education teaching experience.


WAC110-300-0100:


Must meet the following qualifications: 


(i) Be at least eighteen years old; (ii) Have an ECE state certificate or equivalent as approved and verified in the electronic workforce registry by the department as 


follows: Must complete an ECE state certificate or 


equivalent by August 1, 2026; (B) hired or promoted after this chapter becomes effective must have an ECE state certificate or equivalent within five years of the time of hire. 


(iii) Have two years of experience as a teacher of children in 


any age group enrolled in the early learning program and at least six 


months of experience in administration or management or a department 


approved plan.

Essential Functions


  • Support classrooms/sites to deliver quality education and care to children and families, which includes stepping into ratio as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate family service, health, and education service requirements.
  • Professionally address performance concerns as they arise.
  • Provide feedback and support as needed.
  • Ensure onboarding process is being followed and completed with each new hire.
  • Monitor and evaluate work of Supervising Teachers, Center Directors, and others as needed; ensure they are meeting requirements.
  • Conduct interviews and complete hiring processes.
  • Ensure classrooms/sites are in compliance with HS/EHS/ECEAP/WAC requirements.


Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Assign, coordinate, supervise, monitor, and evaluate the work of staff.
  • Coordinate meetings and trainings.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled site visits and as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized staff professional development plans.
  • Complete performance appraisals, including introductory appraisals.
  • Conduct individual, monthly, supervision meetings with staff.
  • Support site staffing as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance.
