Job Description

We’re growing at PrimaFoodie and are looking for experienced, strong, enthusiastic applicants for an Editorial and Brand Creative position. This role will work closely with us on editorial, booking, brand building, and content creation support. All details below. If you feel you’re perfect for this role, please email us at [email protected]. (And if you know someone perfect, please pass this on!)

Editorial and Brand Creative

It’s an exciting time to join us at PrimaFoodie as we bolster current projects (which include our hit podcast and weekly magazine), grow our social presence, develop values-aligned partnerships, and build new opportunities for our brand. This role provides a chance to work closely with our founder and CEO, Nichole, as well as with our editorial and creative projects teams, in a proactive, inclusive, positive environment.

We’re an established and respected brand run by a small, mighty team. As the description below encompasses the main points for this role, we’re eager to find someone willing to wear many hats, support other team members, and jump into the waters of making our education-focused company reach more people.

We’ll count on this person to bring forth dynamic ideas, a positive attitude, and content creation skills. A fluid knowledge of various content management platforms and related digital, social, and creative platforms, such as Instagram, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva, PowerPoint, Asana, and others is required.

Traits We’re Seeking:

  • A passion about health, our food system, conscious living, and the environment. We live for these topics, as they make up the pillars of our brand (which you can learn more about here).
  • A love of social media. This role will require some support helping our creative director create dynamic posts. We’re seeking someone who has experience creating fun, captivating posts and reels, with smartly written captions.
  • Stellar communication skills. We are a media and education platform, therefore a keen understanding and love for writing and content creation is a must.
  • A deep creative side. In truth, we’re all creative beings. But do you bring this side of you to work? We’re seeking someone who offers innovative ideas and creative solutions that target our goals of growth and reach.
  • A love of working both collaboratively and solely. While some projects and meetings will be in the company of team members, others will mandate independent work with minimal supervision.
  • An eye for detail, a mind for organization, and a heart for change. Projects and assignments will vary, sometimes day-to-day, which means an ability to produce high quality work under strict deadlines is a must.
  • A strength in clean, smart, creative, and grammatically correct copywriting.

You Will:

  • Work closely with our founder and CEO on daily brand-related tasks.
  • Assist in bolstering traffic and affiliate goals.
  • Support our editorial director in implementing weekly articles into the CMS, as well as offering interview outreach when needed.
  • Assist in food photography staging.
  • Conduct talent outreach and oversee booking for our podcast and other projects.
  • Assist various creation and production projects, from regular weekly magazine and social media content to occasional video production and photo shoots.
  • Coordinate with various partnership contacts and deliver needed assets.

Requirements:

  • You must show an ability to manage multiple projects while setting priorities and working under strict deadlines.
  • You must be an innovative self-starter with excellent organization, communication, and project management skills.
  • 3+ years of experience providing similar admin and editorial assistance for an established publication
  • A fluid knowledge of various social platforms, CMS systems, and related digital and creative platforms, such as Instagram, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva, Powerpoint, Asana, and others.
  • Flexible schedule. Must be able to travel and work occasional evenings.
  • Knowledge of Adobe editing programs including Premiere, Lightroom, In Design, Photoshop and Audition.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design or related creative field required.
  • Must have a dedicated home office space to work from home and be local to Nashville to allow for potential 1-2 days a week working from founder’s home.

Commitment and Compensation:

  • Our priority is finding someone who is an excellent fit and is passionate about working with us in this capacity. This role will start as a three-month contract role requiring up to 40 hours per week. If the candidate proves to be a passionate fit, the role can morph in a salaried full-time job.
