Job Description
Summary
The Director of Operations oversees all aspects of the Child Care Center, a ministry of Crievewood United Methodist Church, including staffing, enrollment, licensing standards, and finances, to provide high quality childcare and preschool educations for the children and families utilizing the center.
Duties
General: Act as the face and top executive of the Child Care Center. Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with the vision and with state and local requirements. Collaborate with staff to develop appropriate curriculum.
Staffing: Hire, train, supervise, and schedule all staff.
Enrollment: Manage all aspects of enrollment to ensure the Child Care Center is operating at or near capacity.
Licensing Standards: Ensure that the Child Care Center maintains its license and high standard of care.

Financial: Ensure the Child Care Center is financially healthy. Oversee office functions, make and approve purchases, and adhere to the payroll budget.
Requirements
  • Faith/Spiritual Life: Committed Christian, who actively demonstrates their faith through lifestyle and actions.
  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
  • Abilities/Skills: Demonstrates strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, relating well to both children and adults. Must be goal-oriented and have exceptional planning and organizational skills with the ability to think on their feet, solve problems, and multi-task.
  • Must clear full background check
  • Education/Training: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred. At least five years of experience in a classroom or working with children and experience in managing staff preferred. Additionally, must meet all state requirements for the position.
