Job Description
Summary
The Food Service Coordinator supervises food preparation and serves meals and snacks to center children and staff. The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for maintenance, cleanliness, inventory and safety of kitchen.
Duties
  • Maintain hygiene and safety of kitchen in according with state licensing requirements.
  • Plan menus in accordance with nutritional guidelines and food restrictions.
  • Submit food order to Director and related supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Prepare, cook and deliver meals to the classroom.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.

Requirements
  • Basic math skills for measuring and portioning.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must pass Civil Right and any other training related to food preparation.
  • 1 - 2 years of professional experience in food service; preferably in childcare or institutional setting.
  • Must clear full background check.

Our services are tailored to meet the needs of children and their families. We begin our programming for children as young as 6 weeks old and continue until their 13th birthday. Our hours of operation are quite accommodating. Some centers open at 5:30am or 6:00am until 6pm. Our employees are also educated to handle emergency situations. All of them hold certifications in both first aid and CPR.
