Duties
- Acknowledge, respect, and meet children and family's individual needs
- Model and promote the mission, vision, and philosophy and values
- Engage children at eye-level, play, and work one-on-one with children
- Supervise the health and safety of the children
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers, lead teacher and program director
- Utilize developmentally appropriate classroom expectations and behavior modification strategies
- Be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Maintain constant supervision of the children in care
- Communicate with parents/guardians on a daily basis
- Facilitate conflict resolution on a developmentally appropriate level
Requirements
- A certificate from The Registry indicating that the person is qualified to work as an Assistant Teacher
