This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Early Career Civil Engineer for our Valhalla, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Civil Transportation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

• Assist in preparing reports and participate in support activities, including plan production and drafting report text or comment responses
• Perform engineering tasks related to drainage and stormwater, site civil, linear roadway reconstruction, and pedestrian improvements projects
• Attend client meetings, assist in preparation for presentations to clients, and support business development efforts
• Work collaboratively with other engineers and planners on projects with infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
• 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
• The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related degree.
• Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will have 0-3 years of internship experience in Civil Engineering.
• Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD drawing and civil design packages.
• Recent graduate or May 2024 Graduate in an accredited Civil Engineering, or related, Undergraduate or Graduate program.
• Engineer in Training Certification with plans to sit for the NYS Professional Engineering exam

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $53,200 - $93,000
