We take great pride in the service and quality of work we provide to our customers and are searching for dedicated and motivated professionals to join our Maltby team! We are looking for a hard-working driver that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities Include

• Loads and unloads equipment in a safe manner by always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensures equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
• Maintains and promotes Company\'s philosophy and core values of Respect, Trust, and Create.
• Can follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner.
• Practices safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including \"4 second rule\") following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.
• Provides materials\' tickets to the Foreman daily so Foreman can complete their work.
• Recognizes mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes and electrical systems and takes action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; reports maintenance needed and/or any damage to their Superintendent, Foreman and Shop Foreman.
• Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently; spots truck into paver and places material as directed.
• Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed and/or directed.
• Ensures truck is fueled each night.
• Maintains a clean truck to include spraying down of trailers when needed and practices good housekeeping on all equipment.
• Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and completes driver\'s checklist in Fleetio.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE.
• Responsible for ensuring material is loaded safely and efficiently (ensures not overweight, no debris, etc.) and safely transports to jobsites and/or plants.

Requirements

• Must have a CDL Class A.
• Follows all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to travel to various worksites.
• Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.
• Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.
• Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
