Job Description
DISTINCTION seeks to hire talented and professional employees. No matter the position in the organization, all staff are expected to model proper workplace standards and mentor youth. Safely transports students to/from off center activities and maintains vehicle compliance and safety standards defined by the PRH. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency. Must possess CDL, 1-3 years driving experience. DIRECT REPORTS: N/A JOB DUTIES: Perform general transportation duties, such as transporting passengers and inspecting assigned vehicles for oil level, water level, tire wear, and unsafe conditions. Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles (e.g., checks oil, coolant, tires). Report mechanical deficiencies to Facilities Maintenance Manager. Complete driver's log to ensure proper check-in and check-out of vehicles. Maintain proper security of vehicle keys. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and detailing by sweeping, dusting, and washing cars (preferably on Center). Report safety hazards and vehicle repair needs to Facilities Maintenance Manager. Complete all required vehicle documents and reports, such as trip reports. Operate vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner and in compliance with applicable traffic laws and regulations. Maintain a friendly, but firm, calm and restrained attitude, free of profanity and inappropriate behavior, in dealing with all persons. Support other Maintenance Department and warehouse activities as time permits when not performing driving or driving support functions. Maintain required credentials for position. Operate in accordance with requirements set in the contract, PRH, guides, Standard Operating Procedures, and corporate policies. Complete all required training according to Job Corps and Company training schedule. Advise and support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals. Contribute to cultivation of positive Center culture which is free of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn. Promote 6 C's of Positive Youth Development by treating students respectfully as adults and developing positive student relationships. Promote development of Career Success Standards by modeling expected behaviors, mentoring students and fellow staff to aid in their growth, and monitoring student behavior for accountability and recognition. Provide quality customer service to students, staff, and other Center customers. Participate in student employability programs and activities. Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps Zero Tolerance Policy. Maintain a safe and clean work area, adhering to all safety guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
