Role Objectives: This position is responsible for the transportation of supplies, equipment, ship parts, and passengers to and from ships, airports, warehouses, etc.
Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with all DOT rules and requirements for transporting passengers and/or potentially hazardous materials.
• Utilize company-owned vehicles to drive to and from various locations, including ships, airports, hotels, etc. to pick up and drop off boat crews, parts, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain all required OSHA certifications.
• Comply with all company safety rules and programs.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Inspects vehicle before and after trips/shifts and reports damage, mechanical, and maintenance issues and needs to supervisor
• Provide outstanding customer service when transporting crews to and from ships, airports, and hotels
• Maintain and protect in superior condition all company property, including trucks, cars, vans, parts, and equipment.
• Perform any required “user maintenance” tasks, as needed.

Knowledge Requirements:

• DOT requirements and rules related to transporting hazardous cargo and passengers
• Boat and ship equipment, parts, and gear

Experience:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required
• 1-2 years of related experience required
• Driver’s license and acceptable MVR required
• Customer service experience preferred
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card required

Physical Requirements:

• The worker is subject to environmental conditions with no protection from weather.
• The worker will exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• The worker is required to have the ability to see details at a distance and depth perception to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away or to judge the distance between him/her and an object, as well as close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Requires hearing, talking, grasping quickly, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, sitting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• The worker is subject to noise, vibration, and hazards.
• Required to climb up and down stairs regularly.
• Required to sit for prolonged periods of time. 2+ hours at a time.
