NORTHSIDE PHARMACY

Northside Pharmacy location : Northside - Somerset Pharmacy

Overview of position:

Summary:

Makes timely, accurate deliveries of medications and/or medical supplies and equipment. Drives in a safe and courteous manner. Prioritizes deliveries in accordance with time demands and delivery area to make the delivery process effective. Acts as the liaison between the customer and Northside Pharmacy. Responsible for routine checks on the maintenance of the delivery vehicles. Removes trash from store and parking lot. Performs various errands as assigned.

Essential Duties:

Responsibilities:

1. Organizes and delivers medications, equipment and supplies.
2. Obtains signatures for all deliveries made in accordance to Northside policy.
3. Leaves proper notification if delivery can not be made and returns to store if during store hours, contacts pharmacist on-call for further instruction if unable to deliver after store hours
4. Responsible for money pouch and receipts. Collects money as required, completes charge vouchers if needed and returns all paperwork to billing office.
5. Performs various cleaning functions in stores as requested. Including, but not limited to, clearing sidewalks & parking lots.
6. Inspects vehicles daily and maintains vehicles in clean and proper working order.
7. Drives store vehicles safely and courteously and obeys all traffic laws.
8. Reports all accidents, vehicle damage, traffic violations or warnings, driver’s license suspension to supervisor.
9. Is available on-call as scheduled and responds to any call-ins promptly.
10. Performs various errands and other duties as requested.
11. Knowledgeable of the delivery area of Zanesville and surrounding counties.

1. High school graduate or equivalent required.

2. Must be 25 years of age.

3. Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

4. Must have good knowledge of Zanesville area and be able to read a map.

5. Requires ability to communicate effectively with customer and other employees.

6. Requires on-call schedule.


Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements

1. Works in a retail store and storeroom environment and drives store vehicle.
2. Will be required to drive to other locations and areas. Answers telephone calls with store issued cell phone and pager, uses stores computer and other business machines such as copier, which requires the ability to apply finger dexterity. Individual bends, reaches, and lifts products for delivery.
3. Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and often lifts or moves up to 50 pounds.
4. Vision abilities required include up close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus with good night vision. Will be required to periodically rotate shifts and days off and be on-call. All system employees must be willing to work all shifts, extra hours, holidays and emergency shifts as required.
