About The Job
Reporting to the Superintendent- Lake Development The Driller-Geological Leadman is responsible for overseeing the drill crews in the completion of wells on the Lake. Works with the crew and helps maintain equipment. It provides front line quality assurance.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Maintain an awareness of SSHE requirements for the specific work area.
  • Provide requested information during SSHE internal and external audits.
  • Set weekly schedules for drill crews to ensure resources are in place when and where they are needed.
  • Be responsible for adhering to SSHE policies, procedures and programs, regulations and company directives, and actively participate in preventing unsafe acts.
  • Understand the primary SSHE hazards and risks in the work area and the safeguards in place to manage those hazards and risks.
  • Oversee drill crews in the completion of wells for brine extraction and quality control.
  • Immediately report all SSHE issues to the supervisor.
  • Operates drilling rigs and backhoes for well drilling and plugging wells. Also, operate logging tools to log water and brine wells.
  • Review geophysical information to determine proper well completion.
What You Bring To The Table
  • Class C driver’s license and operator certification for backhoe and forklift.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
