Job Description
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in business, education, or related field.
  • Facilitates the Board of Trustees’ fundraising efforts, supporting and advising Trustees in their individual donor outreach and engagement, including cultivation, gift solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Conducts direct outreach to donors and potential donors, conducts informational briefing meetings, makes direct gift requests, follows up on requests, and secures gift decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Researches and identifies potential donors, creating detailed profiles for high-priority prospects.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Plans, oversees, and manages receptions and other fundraising events.
  • A resume.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office.
  • IMRF participation
  • Expert-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Three (3) current letters of recommendation.
  • Supports the Executive Director in coordinating efforts throughout the District with individual departments and schools, booster clubs, parent groups, activity clubs, athletic teams, performance groups, and other organizations to ensure the application of appropriate donor relations protocols.

  • Ensures proper stewardship of charitable gifts, including delivery of acknowledgment letters, production of donor recognition when applicable, and adherence to donor preferences.

  • Prepares and presents regular Development Reports for the Executive Director and Board of Trustees, and produces other statistical research as needed.

  • Collaborates with and supports the Executive Director in developing promotional and solicitation materials including, brochures, case statements, presentations, briefing packets, gift request proposals, and web pages.
  • Helps implement sound financial practices with regard to the deposit and management of funds.
  • Maintains the Foundation’s prospect database, tracking staff and Board interactions with donors and potential donors.
  • Collaborates with District staff to ensure equity is infused in practice, and that the District and the Education Foundation remain at the forefront of efforts to disrupt inequities.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to responsiveness.
