Job Description
Who We Are


The purpose of product placement/product integration /branded entertainment is to give a brand exposure outside of their traditional media buy. Opportunities include in-show integration/placement, custom co-branded content, branded sweepstakes, sponsor tune-in promos, etc.


The Entertainment Brand Solutions group within Disney Advertising, acts as a liaison between Sales and shows/networks/streaming services to help identify, sell and execute custom opportunities that are mutually beneficial and drive revenue for the company. Some of the opportunities you might have seen that we are responsible for include:

Our team works with a variety of departments across The Walt Disney Company including, but not limited to: Ad Sales, Programming, Legal, Standards & Practices, Marketing and Research.


A Day in the Life


  • Help update, track, and draft status documents, production schedules, programming calendars, deal paperwork, client spots lists, and talent bios etc. as needed
  • Work onsite when necessary (i.e. The View giveaways, Good Morning America concert series etc.) Interns will need to help determine sponsorship signage is correct, manage VIP lists, distribute product giveaways to those in attendance
  • Research competitive landscape and share topline learnings with the team
  • Attend Staff Meetings and participate when necessary
  • Be responsible for producing recaps based on a variety of integrations, which includes working with the departments across the Disney Network
  • Assist team members in creating pitch presentations and recaps based on a variety of integrations and sponsored elements
  • Participate in group brainstorms to help identify new ways to align advertisers with ABC, Freeform, FX Networks, Hulu, and Disney Branded Television
  • Edit and digitize integrations for promotional/highlight reels, client copies etc.


What We Are Looking For…


We are looking for an intern who is eager to learn more about the marketing and TV industry, who wants to help influence content on television and have an interest in entering into a similar field post-graduation. We expect our intern to:


  • Excellent writing skills
  • Be outgoing and personable
  • Act in a professional manner
  • Have an understanding of media and/or marketing
  • Not afraid to share ideas
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote
  • Love to watch TV
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Have demonstrated interest in the Disney portfolio of brands and programming (ABC, Freeform, FX Networks, Hulu, Disney Branded Television, etc.)
  • Be detail oriented, organized and a self-starter


Preferred Qualifications


  • Mac knowledge is preferred, especially in Final Cut Pro
  • Previous internships in related business fields
  • Experience with various social platforms (i.e. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok)


Required Education


  • Currently enrolled as a junior or higher or must have graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited college/university, earning a degree in marketing communications, liberal arts or related.


The pay rate for this internship in New York, NY is $21.20 per hour.


Internship Eligibility


  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program, concurrent to this internship
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age


Program Dates: The length of this internship is 10-12 weeks, and approximate dates are May/June – August/September 2023. Interns will work :40 hours per week and need to provide full availability throughout the internship.


Housing & Transportation: This internship will be located in New York, NY and interns must be able to provide their own housing and reliable transportation to and from work.
