Dishwasher

Reports to Head Chef

Avg 15-20 hours/wk | $16-$17.50 per hour + Tips

Overview

Our restaurant and cafe seek a dishwasher with an excellent work ethic who will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Additionally, they are expected to keep the dishwashing area clean and safe and may support the kitchen with food preparation.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machine
• Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the dish machine
• Perform additional cleaning duties as requested
• Unload dishes and utensils from the dish machine and organize them properly
• Empty trash containers regularly
• Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes
• Clean food prep stations and equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
• Restaurant or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift
• Working knowledge of sanitation procedures
