Job Description

Position Summary
Position Summary:
The Director of Workforce & Community Education provides leadership and management for the workforce development and community education areas within continuing education.This position provides direction to management staff in developing, budgeting, and operating non-credit instructional programs and services. The position oversees outreach, engagement, and the development of partnerships with community and business entities. This position must work to advance equity and collaborate effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
1. Provide leadership in the development, management, and evaluation of an array of noncredit courses leading to personal or professional growth.
2. Direct and collaborate on business and community outreach, marketing initiatives, and other promotional activities that lead to new program development, increased program awareness, and increased student enrollment.
3. Supervise a team of program managers, program coordinators, and administrative support personnel.
4. Provide direction to managers, including establishing metrics for program evaluation, program review, and establishing program area goals. Assist in the development of new programs and establish procedures to ensure program success. Use data and program metrics to determine viability of courses and programs.
5. Provide fiscal oversight of program budgets, including budget development, reporting and accountability for all assigned program areas.
6. Act as facility and operational liaison for the Monroe Center, communicating with the Associate Vice President and other College departments, as an advocate of the instructional facilities at the Center.
7. Lead Digital Badging and Apprenticeship initiatives in CEWD.
8. Support the strategic goals and objectives for AACEWD and participate in the development of CEWD goals that align with College and Team priorities.
9. Provide leadership to integrate students into College services such as Counseling and Advising, Admissions, Tutoring, and Career Center when appropriate.
10. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing course content, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements.
11. Participate in College, county, and state committees and advisory boards.

Required Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Five (5) years of experience in higher education instructional program management
3. Three (3) years supervisory experience

2. Experience overseeing non-credit instruction
