Mackenzie Stuart is currently partnered with a highly innovative biopharma organization focussed on developing and commercialising innovative vaccines.

Our client is actively recruiting a Director of Upstream Development for their protein development and manufactuing function.

Based in California.

The main responsibilities for this role will include:

• Building out the upstream and fermantation process to act as the technical lead in making decisions
• Lead upstream development processes for vaccine-based proteins
• Progress the cell free protein synthesis process to a commercially ready technology
• A strong scientific leader
• Represent upstream at CMC meetings

Desired Experience:

• Expeirence working with IND and BLA sections is essential
• GMP knowledge and experience
• Masters Degree qualified - PhD preferred
• Biologics or Vaccine experience
• Experience analysing data
