As the Director of Supply Chain, you’ll play a crucial role in our journey. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you’ll be leading the charge in building and managing our direct material purchasing team. From supporting purchasing for launch and space systems to developing new product strategies, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation.
What You’ll Do
Take the lead in purchasing and fulfilling direct materials.
Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with our cost, quality, and delivery goals.
Build and manage a high-performing team of buyers to ensure on-time fulfillment.
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and reduce material costs.
Maintain accurate supplier master data to keep our operations running smoothly.
Foster communication between purchasing, engineering, and operations teams.
Keep an eye on cost trends, new products, and manufacturing processes to drive cost reduction.
Work in a cross-functional team environment, contributing to company-wide success.
What You’ll Bring
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related fields.
Over 10 years of experience in purchasing and inventory, with management experience in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to source, onboard, and establish pricing agreements with suppliers.
Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to build operational plans that drive long-term success.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 10% of the time).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points
Proficiency in SQL and MRP systems.
Experience managing remote resources across multiple locations.
Background in aerospace, disruptive manufacturing, or similar industries.
Thriving in rapid growth environments.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
