Background


Insignia Event Services is a newly created business unit affiliated with the Arizona Cardinals, tasked with producing all events at State Farm Stadium including all Arizona Cardinals games. In addition to Arizona Cardinals games, Insignia Event Services exclusively manages Sportsman's Park (SP). Sportsman's Park has been a site for pre-game festivities, tailgating, concerts, festivals, weddings, graduations, corporate events, and other related experiences. The three pillars of Insignia's current revenue are events at Sportsman's Park, parking operations for the lots around State Farm Stadium, and creative production of events (i.e., the production team for the Cardinals' home games work for Insignia Events).


Job Summary


The Operations Manager is responsible for the proper creation and execution of projects requested by various Insignia Event Services stakeholders. This role will oversee projects related to asset tracking and asset repairs, quality assurance, facility and asset maintenance, event set-up and breakdown, and other related projects. This person will also manage all Sportsman Park Properties as well as the Insignia asset business. The Operations Manager will oversee a team of Event Operations Crew Members that will execute project tasks needed to properly prepare the venue and assets for event day and post-event operations. During events, the Operations Manager will oversee part-time team members scheduled to support various operations including set-up, event on-site support across departments, event breakdown, and other incoming operational requests.


Primary Job Duties


  • Continually inspects facilities before, during and after assigned events or clean-ups.
  • Develop and implement deferred and routine maintenance plans for the company and shared use facilities, working within allocated budgets; oversee and coordinate work of third-party contractors.
  • Oversite of various functions to include event setup, conversions and tear down, facility inspections, maintenance, scheduling, and light constructions.
  • Prepare, review, and manage facilities budget and capital budget to ensure organizational compliance and the maximization of operational efficiencies
  • Provide department leadership, personnel oversight, and ongoing professional development for facilities, operations, and safety and security team members.
  • Working collaboratively with third-party event vendors, including security ______, etc.
  • Maintains records for equipment inventory and maintenance performed on all building machines/equipment.

  • Attend department head meetings and staff meetings. Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with all the other departments.
  • Build best practice tools and processes which anticipate needs, prioritize and maximize investment dollars, and drive the best possible operational performance
  • Oversee and manage the cleaning and maintenance of facilities and venues
  • Direct and oversee the strategic work-flow, transactions, and processes for the company's facilities, operations, and safety and security department including daily operations and event operations.
  • Oversee the schedule use of facilities; maintain and coordinate facilities schedule while coordinating with other partners schedules.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures; manage unit budget and ensure compliance with applicable business policies; ensure timely completion of required departmental, and company related paperwork.
  • Oversee the maintenance of physical security systems in venues, including camera systems, access control, radio communications, and security software systems.
  • Directs identification of event- specific security goals, objectives, and metrics consistent with the security strategic plan.
  • Develops operating procedures that conform to corporate standards, customized to the specific needs of the facility and consistent with the goals and objectives of the client, facility and corporation.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.


Qualifications/Requirements


  • Possess a minimum of five to seven years of progressively growing experience in assigned competencies or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Five or more years of demonstrated success in facilities management or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer high-quality events.
  • Excellent organizational, management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Available to work on event days including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience developing a healthy culture within an organization where employees feel valued, engaged, and united toward the common goals of championship-level performance
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, ability to research and offer ideas for solutions
  • Ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise
  • Experience managing full-time, part-time and/or student staff.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple completing priorities that require strong project management and decision-making capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, sports management, business administration or related fields.


Preferred


  • Master's degree in facilities management, sports management, business administration or related fields.
  • Experience leading and developing capital projects.
  • Experience managing collegiate athletics facilities.
