Position Overview

Teachstone is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the development and execution of Teachstone's improvement products that support educators in improving outcomes for children by enhancing their interactions in the classroom. The Director of Product Management will be responsible for the development, launch, and continuous improvement of Teachstone's Improvement product offerings. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and execute product plans, drive innovation, and achieve business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute product strategy: The Director of Product Management will work with executives to develop Teachstone's product strategy for improvement products that help educators improve outcomes for children. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to develop and execute product plans that achieve business objectives.


Lead product development: The Director of Product Management will lead the development of new products, features and training that meets the needs of our customers and the market. They will collaborate with Design, Engineering, Content, Social Impact, Research & Evaluation and other stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize development efforts, and ensure on-time, high-quality product delivery.


Conduct market and competitive analysis: The Director of Product Management will conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and guide product development. They will be responsible for monitoring market trends, analyzing usage data, identifying customer needs, and defining product features that meet those needs.


Support product positioning and messaging: The Director of Product Management will work with Product Marketing to define product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target audiences. They will ensure that our product messaging is consistent across all channels and aligns with our business objectives.


Manage the product roadmap: The Director of Product Management will manage the product roadmap and ensure that product development efforts align with business objectives. They will communicate the roadmap to all stakeholders and ensure that it is up to date and accurate.


Collaborate with cross-functional teams: The Director of Product Management will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our products. They will work closely with and gather feedback from our clients and client facing teams, to ensure that we understand the world from where our clients sit and be certain the value we create is being well delivered and received. Additional they will work with product development teams to ensure that our products are delivered on time and with high quality.


Manage a team of product managers: The Director of Product Management will support the product organization through people leadership and professional development. They will lean into development of their team's skills through actionable, specific and kind feedback, along with a focus on Teachtone behavior competencies and core values, including but not limited to diversity, equity and inclusion




Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience

• 7+ years of product management experience in a software or technology company

• Strong understanding of the education industry and classroom dynamics

• Proven track record of developing and launching successful products

• You have experience working remotely with a distributed team

• Experience with Agile product development methodologies

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Experience Identifying target market and analyzing opportunity size, and economic modeling

• Experience and comfort working in a high-growth organization

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
