Job Brief

Twelve is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Director of Procurement to lead our company's purchasing activities. The Director will develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure all purchases align with our organization's needs, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

What you will do:

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and requirements
  • Support the Supply Chain team with timely data and appropriate communication.
  • Support the process to monitor supplier performance and take corrective action when necessary
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing
  • Manage and mentor purchasing staff and provide leadership and guidance to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Monitor spending, time and cost savings, establish quarterly projections and targets, and drive initiatives to achieve them.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, internal customers, and senior leadership
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of Twelve's corporate sourcing and procurement operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Develop and implement a scalable function encompassing people, systems, and processes to support company growth.
  • Assume overall leadership of our procurement function, overseeing strategic direction and day-to-day activities, including managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Who you are:

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 20-40% of the time
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement. Ideally, the candidate should have prior experience as a leader in a world-class purchasing organization, preferably in heavily regulated industries such as energy, automotive, biotech, aerospace or infrastructure construction.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience mentoring and developing staff
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering or related field

At Twelve, it's important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements, Twelve conducts exhaustive research to understand compensation markets. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.
United States Wage Range: $182,750 - $215,000
Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidate's diverse sets of skill levels.
