Job Description
Basin Precision Machining is a solutions-oriented contract machine shop that operates on a lean, just-in-time basis for the ultimate in quality, pricing, and delivery. We possess an arsenal of high-tech equipment and machine complex parts in numerous industries including motorcycle, oil and gas, aerospace, defense, and hydraulic. We lead the industry with the first ATL iTEM400/600 dual shot thermal deburring system in the USA.


The Director of Operations will be responsible for designing policies, overseeing customer service and implementing technology solutions. This role oversees the functional and organizational components of our business. The Director of Operations helps to optimize workflow, productivity and the overall generation of revenue. They work closely with other executives and the President. The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Build and maintain relationships with all departments, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Uphold organization policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Work closely with human resources to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
  • Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs
  • Work with project managers in the development of financial and budgetary plans
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree or 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Diverse leadership experience including the ability to lead multiple teams via influence
  • Attention to detail, organized, and committed to functional excellence
  • Lean experience preferred
  • Thorough working knowledge of machine shop equipment in order to produce parts
  • Knowledge of Database software; Design software, Development software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Order-Processing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • A strong work ethic and high integrity aligned with the culture at Basin Precision Machining
